Vacala Bay Resort - Luxury Eco Resort near Matei
Vacala Bay Resort, a unique luxury eco-resort, is 5 km from Matei. The resort offers spa treatments, a private chef, and dining in six different areas. Leisure options include a lower pool with a sculpted lounge, sailing, diving, snorkeling, and land tours. The resort is eco-conscious, powered almost exclusively by solar energy with a backup generator. The floors are made from polished river stones. Black pearl shells are used to make countertops shine like marble. There is a HI-FI audio system with a high-resolution music library, and an entertainment center. Taveuni is surrounded by clear waters with reef structures and marine life.

The private villas consist of three freestanding buildings. Each villa has 13-foot high bi-folding sliding doors that open to the sea. The master bedroom features a walk-in wardrobe with a safe, an indoor and outdoor bathroom, and a honeymoon double rain shower. There is a fiber optic Milky Way built into the ceiling. The second bedroom has the same floor plan as the master, accommodating a couple or up to 3 children. The 100,000-liter infinity pool wraps around the main building and master bedroom.
